Bastogne Gables Home Fort Bragg

Normandy / Bastogne Gables

The Normandy Community is centrally located in the Ft. Liberty Old Post Historic District and the viewshed of the district around the Historic Main Post Parade Field and extending south of Normandy Dr. and Randolph St. along the historic Ryder Golf Course. Laid out in the Beaux Arts landscape design, the historic section of the community is comprised of 113 homes built between 1928-1939 in three different Spanish-eclectic styles: single story bungalows, two-story single-family homes, and multi-family duplexes. These homes feature clay tile roofs, stucco walls and copper gutters while the interiors boast beautifully refinished hardwood floors and wood burning fireplaces. In 1958, the neighborhood was extended with the building of 48 brick ranch houses. When Corvias became the housing partner in 2003, they continued to enlarge the community with the addition of 50 four-bedroom brick colonial field grade officer houses and 13 brick colonial general officers’ homes.

Residents of Bastogne Gables enjoy a community reminiscent of a traditional family-oriented neighborhood, designed to enhance outdoor activities, and encourage neighbors to mix and mingle. Access to the North Post Commissary and Post Exchange is less than five minutes away from these attractive homes, offering a traditional look on the exterior and modern amenities on the interior for families.
